an*dre neely
an*dre neely (b’93, PT) is an artist, dramaturg and facilitator. Their work uses installation, performance, text and new media to consider the interplay of spatial and identity production in both physical and digital realms. Currently, their research is focused on the social and material apparatus of security and surveillance, its performative uptake, and its permeation into the personal, (pop-)cultural and political spheres.
Their work has shown across Europe, at places including Sophiensaele, SLUG Gallery, Fierce Festival, Glasgow Buzzcut, Warehouse9, STHLMDANS, and Teatro da Politécnica. an* is a recipient of the Berlin Senate's 22/23 Tanzpraxis Stipendium. Alongside their own artistic practice, an* has worked as a dramaturg for artists Liz Rosenfeld, Freddie Wulf and Xavier de Sousa; and since 2023, is an Associate Producer for the MA Queer Performance, at Rose Bruford College, in London.
