Mexikanische Klangkünstlerin, besser bekannt als Cubop und Espectra Negra in der kreativen Szene Berlins. Sie arbeitet als Sound Designerin, Choreographin, Fanzine-Autorin und Kuratorin. Als Klangkünstlerin produziert und komponiert Verónica Mota Klänge und experimentelle Musik, die sich auf Surrealismus, Traumgebiete und menschliches Unterbewusstsein konzentrieren. Ihre Klangkompositionen spielen eine wichtige Rolle in Filmen sowie in Performances und bei Live-Video / Sound-Installationen. Als rituelle Noise-Produzentin erforscht Espectra Negra Schamanismus, Okkultismus und Heidentum. Seit 2005 arbeitet Verónica Mota mit Künstlern wie Kiril Bikov (Bulgarien), Jon Evans (Australien), Lady G (Rumänien), Annie Stubbs (Großbritannien), John Murphy (Australien), Miriam Wuttke (Deutschland), Giorgos Efthimiou (Griechenland), Miro Mastropasqua (Italien), Jamie Weiss (USA), Julien Kafard (Frankreich), Chris Dreier (Deutschland) und anderen zusammen. Ihre Karriere ist – besonders unter Einbeziehung ihrer kuratorischen Arbeiten seit 2005 – sehr produktiv.

Often known in Berlin as Cubop and Espectra Negra in the creative scene of Berlin, the Mexican sound artist Verónica Mota is a diversified persona in this city.  Mota works as a sound designer, choreographer, fanzine-author and as a curator.  As a sound artist, Verónica Mota composes both sounds and experimental music with an emphasis on Surrealisum, dreamscapes and on the human subconscious.  Her compositions often play a key roll in films as well as in performances and as in sound and video installations.  As a ritualistic producer of noise, the artist Espectra Negra undergoes research in relation to shamanism, occultism and hedonism.  Since 2005, the artist Verónica Mota has worked and collaborated with: Kiril Bikov (Bulgaria), Jon Evans (Australia), Lady G (Romania), Annie Stubbs (Great Britain), John Murphy (Australia), Miriam Wuttke (Germany), Giorgos Efthimiou (Greece), Miro Mastropasqua (Italy), Jamie Weiss (USA), Julien Kafard (France), Chris Dreier (Germany) alongside many others.
