We are “cablescablescables,” a team of multidisciplinary artist-researchers interested in creating sustainable art within a digital world. Our specific focus is on the ways that generative AI and data centers can be part of the green transition and help address the climate crisis. We believe that as artists, it’s our responsibility to make work that supports a carbon-negative path forward for Germany and the world. We rely on the wellbeing of our infrastructures, both physical and digital, to make impactful works that connect us on a planetary scale. It's our duty to understand the most integrated solutions for electrifying cities, moving away from fossil fuels, and investing in innovation that supports the wellbeing of everyone as we navigate the challenges of adapting to a warming world. We hope our unique approach to understanding AI can support a flourishing digital and material arts ecosystem in Berlin.
