Laura.aLL (aka Laura Leiner, LauraL) is a guitarist, experimental composer and curator.
She is an artist with a multidisciplinary background encompassing music, performing arts, sound art, video and social communication. Her work ranges from experimental art to ambient music, psychedelic rock, electroacoustic, noise and minimal.
Since 2004, she has been playing in the band M.i.p.V _ Músicas intermináveis para Viagem with three albums released in Brazil and Germany. Born in Brazil, Laura began her artistic career in the 1980s, studying music and theater at the Instituto de Artes da Ufrgs (Arts Institute of Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul). In Brazil, she was involved in a variety of artistic projects for over 20 years, including concerts, performances and theater, and worked as a jounalist and artistic director.
Since 2009, Laura has lived in Berlin, where she created the projects Sonic Sound Space and miniLab, which focus on sound experiments, improvised music and women in music. Since 2016, she has hosted the radio show Klang#030 on reboot.fm, Berlin, which focuses on the local scene, experimental and female artists. She received a grant from Musikfonds in 2022 for sound research on field recordings and deep listening based composition.
In 2024, she won the Culture Moves Europe grant (European Union and Goethe Institut) for her studies of electroacoustic music with the pioneering composer Beatriz Ferreyra. She performs experimental solos or concerts with her band M.i.p.V in projects and festivals in Latin America and Europe.
