Free Improvisation and Creative Composition with Sandra Coutinho

The workshop “Free Improvisation and Creative Composition” will be held by Sandra Coutinho, founding member, bassist, and singer of the Mercenárias. In this half-day workshop, up to ten participants will develop their own musical material through free improvisation and creative composition. Sandra Coutinho led several workshops in Germany as early as the 1990s, including in Dortmund, Essen, and Wuppertal, and lived in Berlin for several years, where she was part of the experimental music scene.

The works created during the workshop will be performed publicly that same evening as the opening act of the concert.
