Sonic Pieces is a boutique record label launched in 2009. For the last decade the label has presented over 30 records which border between contemporary classical and avant-garde sounds. Monique Recknagel has been quietly curating and hand-crafting each release with focus on quality rather than quantity while slowly creating a small but strong community of artists.
Already before starting the label, Monique organized unregular concerts in Berlin, including one night at ausland on Feb 20th, 2009.
With this in mind, we can´t think of a better date and place to start off Sonic Pieces´ 10th anniversary year: On Feb 20th, 2019 we return to ausland and present 3 duo performances by Berlin-based Sonic Pieces artists who have never performed together before.
