Anouck Genthon
Anouck Genthon is a french violinist improviser and ethnomusicologist based in Geneva, Switzerland. Her work evolves into her own improvised language through sound experience with a particularly interest in the process of listening, be it with an electro-acoustic set up or while acting out a « listening walk ». Active in the field of improvised, experimental and contemporary music, she is actively involved in various projets and regularly touring in duo (w/Mathias Forge, Pascal Battus, Jacques Demierre, AND), in trio (TANDEM) or large ensemble (Insub Meta Orchestra, Millefleurs, Ensemble Maât, Grand Fou Band). Enriched by her double stance as musician and researcher (UdM Montréal / EHESS Paris), she likes transversal forms of search which can be connected to the sound poetry (w/Jacques Demierre) as to the theatre (Troisième Rêve Théâtre) or to the mouvement (Batteries Project).
