biegungen im ausland is a concert series that embraces the open, diversity-oriented possibilities of creative musics and the meeting of musicians. Founded in 2002, for over two decades biegungen im ausland has been a space for curious listeners to encounter, and develop relationships with adventurous local, national and international artists and their musics.

Today biegungen im ausland continues and expands upon its mission to center artists whose practices stridently defy or playfully problematize the borders between real-time music, jazz, free improvisation, avant-rock, noise, and experimental, DIY and electronic music.
