Theresa Stroetges

Theresa Stroetges is a Berlin-based musician, composer and sound artist. 
Her solo project Golden Diskó Ship combines sound collages, electronic beats, acoustic instrumentation and video projections. 
Other musical activities include electronic improvisation (Epiphany Now), psychedelic krautpop (Soft Grid) and experimental hybrid rock (Painting).  In various collaborations with dance, live poetry, film, video and performance artists as well as her own sound installations she investigates possibilities of breaking up conventional performance praxes and borders of genres. 
Theresa Stroetges has an MA in Sound Studies (University of Arts, Berlin) and musicology (Humboldt University Berlin, focus on popular music studies and new music).
