Berit Fischer
Berit Fischer (PhD) is a curator, researcher, writer, editor and artist with focus on experiential and socio-ecological knowledge formation, critical spatial and transformative emancipatory practices, that are often inspired by feminist- and radical pedagogies. In 2016 she founded the Radical Empathy Lab, an on-going nomadic socio-ecological and research laboratory for experiential knowledge formation. She is the founder and curator of the (Re-)Gaining Ecological Futures learning program that critically engages with the human-centred ontology and the dualism between nature and culture at the Floating University. She is a co-founder of the International Forum for Eco-Embodied Arts and a founding member of the Urbane Praxis e.V.. She holds a practice-based Ph.D. from the University of Southampton, Winchester School of Art and has been working and publishing internationally for over two decades. Previously based in New York and London, she now works from Berlin, Germany.<o:p></o:p>

Berit Fischer (PhD) ist Künstlerin, Urbane Praktikerin, Kuratorin, Forscherin, Autorin und Redakteurin mit Schwerpunkt auf erfahrungsbasierter und sozio-ökologischer Wissensbildung, kritischen räumlichen und transformativen emanzipatorischen Praktiken, die oft von feministischen und radikalen Pädagogien inspiriert sind. Im Jahr 2016 gründete sie das Radical Empathy Lab, ein nomadisches sozio-ökologisches Forschungslabor für erfahrungsbasierte Wissensbildung. Sie ist Gründerin und Kuratorin des Lernprogramms (Re-)Gaining Ecological Futures an der Floating University, das sich kritisch mit der menschenzentrierten Ontologie und dem Dualismus zwischen Natur und Kultur auseinandersetzt. Sie ist Mitbegründerin des International Forum for Eco-Embodied Arts und Gründungsmitglied des Urbane Praxis e.V.. Sie hat an der University of Southampton/ Winchester School of Art promoviert, arbeitet und publiziert international seit über zwei Jahrzehnten.
