Raphael Schuster

In his music, Leipzig-based drummer Raphael Schuster uses found objects and electronics to distort the sound aesthetic of the drumset and push the boundaries of listening habits. Billowing polyrhythms, rough textures and gritty drones create a space that feels familiar and peculiar at the same time.
