Tom Malmendier

Mostly self taught, and from the very beginning interested in the sound as itself, improvisation quickly became a great part of his practice. He worked on interdisciplinary projects and met actors, dancers, visual artists, poets, ... He actively performs on stages in Europe, and has participated in internationally renowned festivals such as Festival Météo (France), Konfrontationen (Austria), Festival Unlimited (Austria), FIMAV (Canada), Mozg Festival (Poland), Bruisme (France), Atlantique Jazz Festival (France), Jazz à Luz (France), Meakusma (Belgium), Sons d’Hiver (France), and played with musicians such as Fred Frith, Otomo Yoshihide, Axel Dörner, Michael Thieke, Sophie Agnel, Emilie Škrijelj, Quentin Stokart, Grégoire Tirtiaux, Sakina Abdou, ...
