This residency is the first step in building a new piece, and will be dedicated to the question: How can we help performance graduate to a post-identity level?
The residency will focus on human and non-human interactions, construction of visual narratives and hosting as a format. In the grey zones between human and machine and between thinking about theater, performance and research, a group of friends will imagine together a future of theatrical possibilities and ridiculous surprises.
Try replacing identity with body, history with science fiction, tradition with imagination; what kind of cyborg politics can contemporary image-making enable? Leaving identity politics, queer theory and critical whiteness where they belong - the 20th century - how can we initiate a poetic sociality through performative events? We'll start to work on these big questions and offer small starting points for complicating them into action.
the residency will be carried out in collaboration with anthropologist Romm Lewkowicz (London/NYC) and art technologist Yair Reshef (TLV)
